In partnership with the Clapham Society and as part of the 2015 programme of Heritage walks around South London, this walk from Clapham South shows the development of the area between Clapham and Wandsworth Commons from the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries.
It is proposed to repeat the Twixt the Commons walk on Wednesday 8 June 2016 as part of the Wandsworth heritage festival. The walk will start at Clapham South tube station at 18.30 and is designed to explain how the area between the commons was developed and why it has taken its current shape. It will be led by Timothy Walker.
